Hyrox Weights Challenges Decoded: Your Ultimate Roadmap to Dominating Every Station

What are the hyrox weights?

Hyrox, with its unique blend of endurance and strength challenges, demands participants to be well-prepared both mentally and physically. A significant aspect of this preparation involves understanding and mastering the various weight challenges encountered throughout the race. In this comprehensive guide, we’ll explore the specific hyrox weights used in each category and station of Hyrox, providing insights to help participants tailor their training and optimize their performance.

Exploring the Specific hyrox Weights Challenges at Each Station:

Now, let’s take a closer look at the Hyrox weights challenges encountered at each station of a Hyrox event:

STATION 2 50M SLED PUSH weights (singles)

50m is split into 4 x 12.5m

WOMEN 102 kg incl. Sled

WOMEN PRO / MEN 152 kg incl. Sled

MEN PRO 202 kg incl. Sled

STATION 2 50M SLED PUSH weights (doubles)

Below are some quick rules for the sled push that doubles must follow:

Both sled and athlete must be completely behind the line before starting.

  • The sled must always pass the 12.5 m mark (end of lane) entirely before change of direction
  • As soon as the athlete completes 4x 12.5 m and the entire sled passes the line the station is complete.
  • If the athlete completes less than four lanes, a penalty of 3 minutes per missing lane will be awarded.
  • The resting partner walks behind the working partner. If the walking partner obstructs other participants, e.g. by crossing the lanes, the team will be issued with a 10m distance penalty which they have to push back themselves.

So, that’s all the hyrox weights covered above in the article, you’ve got to approach those Hyrox weights challenges with a mixture of muscle power, mental grit, and some smart prep work. Understanding what you’re up against at each station is crucial, training with weights heavier than you’ll experience in your hyrox event can make it easier during race day as the surface (especially for the sled pull and pushes) can make the weights feel much heavier than your usual training facility.

Fail to prepare, prepare to fail. PBs and podium places are for those who prepare the best and are more than ready to face the challenges and hyrox weights on race day.

Keep pushing your limits and embracing the challenges – that’s where you’ll find the real spirit of resilience, determination, and triumph. Keep pushing forward, and you’ll conquer the course with confidence!
